Morgan Quaintance, 2013
Morgan Quaintance is a London-based writer, musician and curator, born in South London in 1979. He is a regular contributor to Art Monthly, Art Review, Frieze, Rhizome.org, this is tomorrow and a number of curatorial sites and music blogs. As a musician he's played with Mariah Carey, Rihanna, Robin Thicke, the Noisettes, Friendly Fires, Does It Offend You Yeah and currently plays in the bands New Young Pony Club and PLUGS. With a background in the performing arts, he attended the BRIT performing arts and technology school, the London College of Communication as an undergrad gaining a first class degree in Sound Art and Design, and completed postgraduate studies in 2011 graduating from the Royal College of Art's MA in Curating Contemporary Art. He is also the producer of Studio Visit, a weekly hour-long interview show broadcast on Resonance 104.4 FM, featuring international contemporary artists as guests.
