John Feeney Charitable Trust
2013-08-30 Funding Opportunities
Trustees have decided to offer each year two Feeney Fellowships with bursaries of up to £3000 to provide opportunities for Birmingham-based arts practitioners to broaden their expertise and develop their careers.
Applicants will be expected to have had a minimum of three years professional practice in their field.
Applicants are required to submit a proposal in writing by email, showing how the award of a Fellowship will be of benefit to them in their further career development.
The proposal, together with an up-to-date CV, and the names and addresses of two relevant referees, must be received by the Trust Secretary not later than 30 September 2013.
Applicants will be shortlisted for interview by a panel of Feeney Trustees, who will make awards based on their judgment of the likely value of the proposal to the individual and of its contribution to the development of the arts in Birmingham.
Bursaries should normally be completed within one year of the award.
Feeney Fellows will be required to write a full report on their project, and to agree that their report can be published on the Feeney website, and elsewhere.
Awards will be disbursed in two tranches, with a final £100 held back until the report has been received.
