In this work the act of encircling draws attention to specific areas of the drawing, as if drawing our attention to that which is absent. This act is complicated further by their relationship to an indexical imprint suggestive of something organic, or is it something bodily in human terms. The correlation between of the signalling of absence, the imprinted reversal and actual primary acts of drawing work to dislocate the viewer’s experience.
